This Indenture made this 7th day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred
twenty six between James Crawford of Jefferson County & State of Indiana
of the first part and James M Crawford of the same place of the
second part witnesseth that the said James Crawford for and in
consideration of the sum of eighty dollars lawful money of the United
States to him in hand well truly paid by the said James M Crawford
the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained sold
aliened released conveyed & confirmed by these presents do grant bargain
sell alien release convey & confirm unto the said James M Crawford his
heirs & assigns forever the following described tract of land to wit being
of the NE qr of section 29 in township no 4 north of range no ten east
Beginning at the N E corner of said qr thence south with the line of [?]
qr sections to Stribling’s corner thence west 67 degrees south with Striblings line 322
poles thence south 67 degrees west till it will intersect the south line of said qr section
thence with the line of said qr section to the north west corner thereof thence east
with the line of said quarter to the place of beginning one hundred &
thirty six acres & ninety poles & all the estate right title interest claim & [domain]
of [?] the said James Crawford of in & to the said premises & every part ther[eof]
Together with all & singular the priveleges & appurtenances to the same [belong]
ing or in any wise appertaining & the rents issues proffits thereof to
have & to hold the premises hereby bargained & sold or meant or
intended is to be with the appurtenances to the only proper use & behoof
of the said James M Crawford his heirs & assigns forever & the said James
Crawford his heirs executors & administrators with doth covenant promise &
agree to & with the said James M Crawford his heirs & executors & administrators
& assigns that he is the true & lawful owner of the premisses hereby granted
& hath good right full power & lawful authority to sell & convey the same
in manner form aforesaid further that the said James Crawford
his heirs executors & administrators will warrant & forever defend this
aforesaid premises with their appurtenances & every part & parcel there of unto the said
James M Crawford his heirs & assigns against all persons claiming & to claim
by from or under him them or any of them or by from or [man] any [?]
person or persons whomsoever. In witness whereof the said James
Crawford hath hereunto set his hand & seal the day & year above
written
