This Indenture made this fourth day of august in the year
of our Lord one thousand eight hundred fifteen between James Crawf[ord]
senior and Rebecca his wife of Jefferson County Indiana Territory
of the one part and Beverly Vawter of the above said County and
Territory of the other part witnesseth that the above said James and
Rebecca for once in consideration of the sum of thirty dollars to them
in hand paid by the said Beverly the receipt whereof is hereby acknowle
ged have given granted bargained and sold and by these presents do
give grant bargain and sell unto the said Beverly Vawter a certain tra[ct]
or parcel of land containing fifteen acres lying and being in Jefferson
County on Irvin’s branch of Creek part of section no twenty nine
of township no four north of range no ten east and bounded as foll
ows (to wit) Beginning at the southeast corner of the south[?]
quarter of the aforesaid section and running with parallel [along]
the section line forty poles cornering to two beach [then ?]
of west one hundred and twenty six poles to the line [?]

north east and southeast quarter to a white oak and iron wood
thence [east] parallel with the line dividing the aforesaid quarter one
hundred and twenty poles to the beginning — to have and to hold
the said tract of land to the said Beverly his heirs and assigns forever
to his and their only pro[?] benefit and behoof
forever and the said James and Rebecca for themselves and their
heirs doe further covenant and agree to and with the said Beverly
his heirs so that they the said James and Rebecca the aforesaid fifteen acres
with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging from them
selves and their heirs and the claim of claims of all and every other person
or persons to the said Beverly his heir sand assigns will warrant and forever
defend In witness where of the said James and Rebecca have here unto set
their hands and seals the day and date above written.

signed sealed delivered and acknowledged the foregoing indenture to
be his voluntary act and deed for the purpose there in mentioned
