Robert Creath’s Estate
Be it Remembered that heretofore to wit on
3rd day of January 1852 James A Creath entered into bond in the
sum of $1200 with Reuben B Hodges as his security as Admr
of the estate of Robert Creath decd which bond was approved by
the clerk of said court and reads thus (here insert) after which be
the said James A Creath subscribed and was sworn to the following
oath of office to with (here insert) Thereupon the clerk issued the
following letters of administration to wit (here insert)

And afterwards to wit on the 21st day
of January 1852 said Adm’r filed here in the office of the clerk of said court
one inventory and appraisement of the person estate of sd decd taken by him
with the assistance of John Loyd and Isaac Renfro appraisers which inventory
amounts to the sum of $587.95 and reads as follows to wit (here insert)

And afterwards to wit on the 2nd day of
March 1852 said Admr filed here in the clerks office of said
court an inventory of the personal estate of the dead which amounts to
the sum of $70.30/100 and reads as follows to wit (here insert)

And now at this day the court approved of the bond
taken in this cause and also confirms the letters of guardianship
granted herein.

In the matter of the Estate of Robert Creath deceased
James A Creath Administrator


January 24th 1854
Final Settlement
Now comes the said administrator and the clerk of this court
reports to the court the account current and vouchers connected
therewith which had been filed with the clerk in vacation
on the final settlement of said estate. And it appearing
to the satisfaction of the court by due proof that legal
notice had been by said clerk that said account current
and vouchers would be presented to this court for examination
and settlement and the
court having examined said account current and vouchers
find the same correct. And the said administrator
pays into the hand of the clerk of this court the sum [text hidden]
one hundred and twenty five dollars and twenty five [text hidden]
being the amount remaining according to said account [text hidden]
after the payment of all charges against said Es[text hidden]
It is therefore considered by the Court the[text hidden]
Estate be deemed finally settled. And the [text hidden]
ministrator be discharged from said [text hidden]

Estate of Robert Creath
And now at this time the clerk presents to the Court
the following affidavit of Ross Ally vis Here insert which
said affidavit being send and examined by the Court is
accepted of as due proof of the public actions of notice to the heirs
of said decedent that distribution would be made of the
surplus remaining after the payment of debts, and costs
of administration and now at this time it being pro
ven to the satisfaction of he court that said decedent did not
leae a widow. and that James A (Paid) Creatj, Malinda Creath [paid] (Luther)
Thomas Creath, Luther Creath and Richard Creath, who are
the children of William Creath deceased who was the son and
one of the heirs of said deceadent are each entitled to the sum of
$19.77 and that Deborah Carrington [paid 19.30] Rebecca Shannon [paid 19.30]
Cynthia Hodges Ann Roberts [paid 12.89] Margaret Phillips and
James Creath entitled to $_____
and that Robert Grimes [paid] James Grimes [paid 1.44] and Sarah [Rasiden]
formerly Sarah [Rasider] children of Polley Grimes who was a
daughter of the said decedent
to be paid out of the sum of $125.24.
remaining in the hands of said clerk, and the clerk
is hereby ordered to pay to said heirs the amount
severally due to them as herein before ascertained All
of which is ordered by the Court.
