This Indenture made the sixteenth day of August
in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundr
-ed and forty seven between Robert Creath of
Riply County state of Indiana of the first part and
William W Rex of Ripley County and State aforesaid
of the second part witnesseth that the said Robert Creath
for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred
and sixty nine dollars lawful money of the United
States to him in hand will and truely paid by the said
William W. Rex the receipt whereof is hereby acknowel
edged have granted bargained sold conveyed and confirmed
and by these presents do grant bargain sell convey and con
-firm unto the said William W Rex his heirs and assigns
forever all the following described piece or parcel of
Land (to wit) beginning t a stone on the West boundary
of the Southe East quarter of section thirty two township
seven range twelve on the south bank of Laughen
Creek six chains and ninety links south from the
center corner of said sectoin thirty two thence down the
right Bank of Laughing with the meanderes thereof
S51 degrees East ten chains and seven links to a large Sycamore
tree; thence South 49 1/2 degrees east twelve chains to a stake thence south
39 degrees East nine chains to [blob] on the south side of the mouth
of a small branch; thence south 60 degrees East two chains and thirty
eight links to a birch thirty inches diameter thence south
29 degrees East eleven shains and seventy five links to the South boun
-dary of said section thirty two being three links south
of a large sycamore abot two Rods west of Wetheree’s
branch thence on said section line 88 degrees West twenty nine
chains and sixty four links to the quarter secton corner thence
North 1 degree 20 minutes west thirty three chaines and twenty three links
to the place of beginning is being a part of the South East
quarter of section thirty two in township seven North of

Range Twelve East in Riply county, state of Indiana
run by the true Meridian at a vriation 4 degrees 45 minuts East
an containing fifty six acres and ninety hundredths
of an acres, and all the Estate right title interest claim
and demand of him the said party of the first part
of, in, and to the said premises and every part thereof
together with all and singular the privaleges and appur
-tenances to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining
and the rents issues and profits thereof, to have and to
hold the premises hereby bargained and sold, or meant
or intended so to be with the appurtenances to the only
proper use and behoof of the said party of teh second part
his heirs and assigns, forever, and the said party of the
first part his heirs, executors, and administrators, doth
covenant, promise and agree to and with the said party of
the second part his heirs executors administrators and assigns
that he is the true and lawful owner of the premises
hereby granted and have given right full power and lawful
authority to sell and convey the same in the manner and form
aforesaid and further that he the said party his heirs
executors and administrators will warrant and forever
defend the aforesaid premises with their appurtenances and
every part and parcel thereof unto the said party of
the second part his heirs and assigns against all persons
lawfully claiming or to claim by from or under him them or any of
them or by from or under any other person whomsoever

deed for the uses and purposes therein mentioned
