Will of Beverly Vawter
Know all men by these presents that I Beverly Vawter of the
County of Jefferson and State of Indiana considering the uncertainty
of this life and being of sound mind and memory do make declare
and publish this my last will and testament.
1st I will to my son Pascal Vawter and his assigns $300 three
hundred dollars he having received $700 seven hundred dollars
in land and other property
2nd I will to Elizabeth V Blair my grand daughter heir my daughter
Lucinda $800 eight hundred dollars her mother having received
$200.00
3rd I will to my son Philemon Vawter $750.00 seven hundred
and fifty dollars he having received $250.00 two hundred and
fifty dollars. I hold a note against him for $500.00 five hundred
dollars drawing eight percent interest.
4th I will to my son James C Vawter $730 seven hundred and
thirty dollars he having received $270.00 two hundred & seventy
dollars in money and property.
5th I will to my son Richard B Vawter $810.00 eight hundred
and ten dollars he having received $190.00 one hundred and
ninety dollars I hold a note against him for $450.00 four
hundred and fifty dollars drawing eight per cent interest I
allso have an account against him of $118.00 one hundred
and eighteen dollars.
6th I will to my grand son Ira Vawter son of Cyrus P
Vawter $500.00 five hundred dollars to be placed at compound
interest until he becomes of age at which time he is to receive
principal and interest
7th I will to Sam H Vawter $830.00 eight hundred and thirty
dollars he having received $170 one hundred seventy dollars
Dr by note $400 four hundred dollars at eight per cent
per anum
8th I will to my son John M vawter $25.00 twenty five dollars
he having received $975.00 nine hundred and seventy five
dollars in land and other property
9th I do nominate and appoint my sons Richard B
Vawter and Philemon Vawter my executors of this my
last will and testament.
In testimony whereof I have to this my last will and
testament subscribed my name and affixed my seal
this 28th day of January in the year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred and seventy.
Beverly Vawter
Signed, sealed, declared and published by the said Beverly
Vawter as and for his last will and testament in presence
of us who at his request and in his presences and in presence
of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses hereto

The State of Indiana Jefferson County
On this day appeared in my office Cyrus P Vawter
one of the subscribing witnesses to the last will and testament
of Beverly Vawter late of said county deceased who being duly
sworn on his oath saith he saw the said Beverly Vawter sign and
seal the foregoing paper as his will and that he with Elizabeth
V Blair subscribed the same as witnesses in the presence of each
other and in the presence and at the request of said Beverly Vawter
the deponent further saith said Beverly Vawter was at the time
of making and executing said paper as his will of full age to devise
his property and of sound mind and memory and not under coercion
and restraint and that he did publish and declare the same to be
his will and further saith not.

Please in and for said county do hereby certify that the above
and foregoing is a true full and complete copy of the last
will and testament of Beverly Vawter late of said county deceased
