This Indenture made and entered into this eighth day of July
in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty
three between Isaac M Brown and Mary his wife of Bartholomew
County and state of Indiana of the first part and John Crawford of the
same place of the other part witnesseth that the said Isaac M Brown
and Mary his wife for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred and
thirty dollars lawful money to them in hand paid the receipt whereof
is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained and sold and by these
presents do grant bargain sell and convey unto the said John Crawford
and his heirs and assigns all that certain tract or parcel of land lying
and being in said County of Bartholomew and known and designated as
the west half of the south west quarter of section thirty four in tow
-nship number nine ten North in range five east containing
eighty acres to have and to hold the above described tract or parcel
of land with all the appurtenances thereto belonging to the said John
Crawford and to his heirs and assigns forever. And the said Isaac
Brown and Mary his wife for themselves their heirs executors and administ
rators do hereby covenant and will forever defend the right and title
thereof against the claims of all and every person or persons whatever to
the said John Crawford and to his heirs and assigns forever In witness
whereof the said Issac Brown and Mary his wife have hereunto subscri
bed their names and affixed their seals the date above written

Personally appeared before Thomas Hinkson
a Justice of the peace of said county Isaac M Brown and acknowledged
the signing and sealing of the within deed Deed of Conveyance to be his act
voluntary act and deed for the purposes therein mentioned also personally
Mary Brown the wife of the said Isaac Brown being by one examined
separate and apart from her said husband acknowledged the signing and
sealing of the within deed to be her act and deed and freely relinqui
shed all her right of dower to said premises given under my
hand and seal this 14th day October 1833
